01. Introduction
"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success."
After having gained long experience in serving people through three centres (at Bindweide, Mühlheim/Main and Mohnweg Berlin) the members of the Vedanta Gesellschaft felt the need to combine those three centres and establish a permanent centre in Berlin to reach out to more number of sincere spiritual seekers. They are now building a new Ashrama at Marienfelder Allee 73, 12277 Berlin.
Our activities are meant for people without any distinction of gender, colour, nationality or religion.

● Office Hours:The times are fixed respecting the schedules of the monastery. Visits outside the announced opening times are not welcome, at least till the end of March 2024! Please cooperate with us.
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In Planning: Programme on Wednesday evening: The dates will be announced later.
(i) Evening Ārati (Vesper): 6:00 to 6:10 p.m.
(ii) Guided Meditation: 6:10 to 6:45 p.m.
(iii) Bhajan-Sandhyā (an evening for devotional songs to sing along).: 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.
Thursday: Visits are by appointment only
Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(11 November closed whole day)
Yoga-Āsana training & practice: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Dates will be announced later.
Sunday: *Dates in 2023: November 5, (12 November closed whole day), 19, 26; December 3.
From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; afternoon visits are by appointment only.
Sunday Programme:
(i) Talk on the Gita: 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 noon.
(ii) Meditation: 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon
(iii) Tea & Snacks: 12:10 to 12:40 p.m.

● Daily Evening Prayer: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Evening Ārati (vesper), meditation, devotional singing (Bhajans to be sung together), etc. (Note: All Are Welcome! No appointment needed. BUT entry to the Ashrama for evening prayers will be closed exactly 15 minutes before 6:00 p.m.)

● Phone Calls: As a practising monastery and Ashrama, our preferred hours of telephone contact are from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Germany Time. You may leave your message on our answering machine. We cannot return calls to mobile phone numbers due to high charges.
