After having gained long experience in serving people through three centres (at Bindweide, Mühlheim/Main and Mohnweg Berlin) the members of the Vedanta Gesellschaft felt the need to combine those three centres and establish a permanent centre in Berlin to reach out to more number of sincere spiritual seekers. The newly-built permanent centre of the society is now situated at Marienfelder Allee 73, 12277 Berlin.

The non-profit service activities of the society are meant for people without any distinction of gender, colour, nationality or religion.

02. Daily Opening Times

● Office Hours:
The times are fixed respecting the schedules of a practising monastery. Visits outside the announced opening times are not welcome! Please cooperate with us.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also please see below, under No. 03.
Thursday: Visits by appointment only
Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: Visits by appointment only. Also please see below, under No. 04.
(Completely closed: April 13, May 11, June 8, July 6, August 3 & 31, Sept 28, Oct 26, Nov 23)
Sunday: From 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Afternoon visits are by appointment only.

● Daily Evening Prayer: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Except on the days mentioned below. ** Evening Ārati (vesper), meditation, devotional singing (Bhajans to be sung together), etc. (One can meditate in one's own way. Still our offer: 'Let us meditate together.')
(Note: All, including children above 10 years, are welcome! No appointment needed. But entry to the Ashrama for evening prayers will be closed exactly 10 minutes before 6:00 p.m.)
** Evening Prayer Closed on: April 12–14; May 10–12; June 7–9; July 5–7; August 2–4, 30 & 31; September 1 & 27–29; October 25–27; November 22–24; December 30 & 31.

● Appointments: Please make appointments beforehand for visits for any other pupose. It is better to send an email to our Ashram id: vedantagesellschaft(at)gmail(dot)com. Or you may call us on the phone number +49-30-6646 4797.

● Phone Calls: As a practising monastery and Ashrama, our preferred hours of telephone contact are from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Germany Time. You may leave your message on our answering machine. We cannot return calls to mobile phone numbers due to high charges.

03. Wednesday Satsang/Bhajan-Sandhyaa from 6:00 to 7:05 p.m.

No registration is necessary. One has to arrive at least 10 minutes before 18:00 hours.
Naturally, children above 10 years can join in the Satsang.
Starts from Wednesday, 20th March 2024:

March - 20, 27;
April - 03, 17, 24;
May - 01, 15, 22, 29;
June - 12, 19, 26.
The Schedule
(i) Evening Ārati (Vesper): 6:00 to 6:05 p.m.
(ii) Bhajan-Sandhyā (Group-singing: an evening for devotional songs to sing along).: 6:35 to 7:05 p.m.
(iii) Silent Meditation. (One can meditate in one's own way. Still our offer: 'Let us meditate together.'): 6:05 to 6:35 p.m.

04. Yoga-Āsanas Certificate Courses, and also Individual Practices

We will conduct Certificate courses on Sanskrit-Learning by competent teachers.
The classes will be held in the evenings.
The courses will be 90% subsidized by Seva, a philanthropic organization of India in Berlin.
